Introduction:
Rotary drum dryer, also known as rotary dryer, is a kind of drying equipment, widely used in mining equipment. It is divided into direct heat transfer rotary drum dryer and indirect heat transfer rotary drum dryer.
It is suitable for drying magnetic, heavy and floating concentrate of metal and nonmetal ore, clay of cement industry and slime of coal mine industry. It is characterized by high productivity and easy operation. The cylinder body of rotary drum dryer is a horizontal rotary cylinder. Various types of sheet metal plates with different staggered arrangement angles are welded from front to back of the rotary kiln. Different types of refractory bricks are inlaid in the rotary kiln body according to the demand. The door ring and screw plate are set at the feeding end to prevent material dumping.
Advantage:
1. With compact structure, simple structure and reasonable layout, the heat exchange rate between materials and heat energy is improved, and the drying effect of materials is good;
2. The basic investment is only half of that of single drum dryer with the same output, which reduces the one-time investment by about 50% compared with that of single drum dryer, the civil engineering investment is reduced by about 50%, and the power consumption is reduced by 60%;
3. Drying the granular materials within a certain humidity and particle size range has a significant effect, such as yellow sand, molding sand, slag, coal slag and small particle clay;
4. The fuel can adapt to coal, oil and gas. It can be used to bake block material, granular material and powder material below 20 mm.
5. The final moisture index can be easily controlled according to the user's requirements.
6. The outlet gas temperature is low and the dust removal equipment is used for a long time.
7. It does not need big and small gear transmission, and adopts supporting wheel transmission.
working principle:
The drying medium of rotary dryer is usually flue gas. The combustion chamber of the direct heat transfer rotary dryer is located at the same end of the wet material feed, and the hot air flow is consistent with the movement direction of the material. The wet material moves from the feed end to the discharge end, and the hot air flows out from the feed end through the discharge end under the action of the blower and induced draft fan.
The wet material is heated by air and dried during the flow process.
Counter flow direct heat transfer rotary drum dryer, it is the wet material from the feed end to the dryer, the combustion chamber is set at the discharge end, the material and the drying medium (hot air) move in the opposite direction, the material is heated and dried in this process.
As the feed wet material enters the dryer and contacts with the drying medium with higher temperature, the driving force of drying is greater at the initial stage, and then the temperature of drying medium decreases with the increase of material temperature. Therefore, it is suitable for materials with low final moisture content (i.e. drying degree). The temperature of discharged dry material is lower, which is convenient for transportation. However, from the point of view of dust generation, fine materials are easy to be carried away by the air flow, and the amount of dust is large. In the drying process, the driving force of countercurrent drying is uniform, which is suitable for drying materials with strict requirements. The dust carried by the drying medium is filtered through the wet material area, and the dust content in the air flow is less. The specific selection of drying method depends on the final requirements of the material to be dried.
